Push America was founded in 1977 by Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity with the purpose of instilling lifelong service in its members and enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities. Push America is still fulfilling the purpose it was intended for, but has grown into a nationwide organization with numerous programs educating undergraduates, alumni, and communities about the abilities of people with disabilities.

The areas we focus on are service leadership and construction.

In the fall we have a skeet shooting tournament called Pull for PUSH, which takes place the day after Homecoming. This year's event will be November 14, 2010.

On the day of homecoming, we have a silent auction full of items, we begin gathering items for auction each fall and would love to have you donate. For more information on the silent auction, please contact Nancy Bennett at lsutigertrio@comcast.net.

In the spring is our award winning event, PieKappture the Flag. In 2010, the chapter won LSU's Order of Omega Outstanding Philanthropic Event and Pi Kappa Phi's Innovator's Award for most creative event. The date for 2011 is undecided.

If you would like to donate or get involved with PUSH America, please contact PUSH Chair John Bennett at jbenn32@lsu.edu. Any help is much appreciated.
